Field notes
A wristwatch on a pigeon. Data over a season. The work began as a quiet observation commissioned by Observatory West and unfolded across two field seasons — between the bench, the archive, and a small patch of city that we returned to most weeks.
The lab treats each commission as a long conversation with a place. Our role is to listen first — to material, to weather, to the ordinary rhythms of pigeon-adjacent infrastructure — and then to compose carefully, with as little new noise as possible.

"We were after a kind of attentiveness — the slow looking that a place asks for before it gives anything back."
